Introduction

 This time, I went to Gifu city. Gifu City is near Nagoya City. Although it is not a very famous city, there are actually many tourist attractions. For example, “Gifu Castle” or “Ukai”.  This time about Gifu Castle!

Gifu Castle   

Gifu Castle is located in Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture. In the past, Oda Nobunaga was the castle owner. Gifu Castle is located on the top of a mountain called “Kinkazan” (Mt.kinka). This is Gifu Castle.

It’s a very beautiful castle! The location is amazing. At night, the castle is lit up. It looks as if the castle is floating. Gifu Castle can be reached by mountain climbing or ropeway. By the way, the scenery of the city seen from Gifu Castle is also beautiful. The night view is also beautiful.

Near Gifu Castle “Gifu Castle Park”

Gifu Castle Park is located at the foot of Gifu Castle. This park is a “Japanese garden”. You can feel Japanese tradition. Please come by all means because it is a very beautiful park. This is Gifu Castle Park.

In Gifu Park, you can eat traditional Japanese dishes. “Miso Dengaku” and “Dango”.

Adult (12 years old, junior high school student and above) round trip 1,080 yen

Child (4 years old and under 12 years old) Roundtrip 540 yen

Access

From JR Gifu Station (11th, 12th and 13th stops) or Meitetsu Gifu Station (4th stop), take the N route (in the direction of Nagara Bridge) and the city loop counterclockwise bus. Get off at “Gifu Park / History Museum” 3 minutes walk to Gifu Park (To Gifu Castle Kinkazan Ropeway (4 minutes) → 8 minutes walk → Gifu Castle)

Fee: 210 yen one way

Service interval: Approximately every 5 minutes Required time: 15 minutes

* It is not possible to drive to the summit of Kinkazan and Gifu Castle.
